The animation above shows the FFCPT deployed from an MVP-equipped vessel collecting sets of data while on-station and while underway. It also illustrates the FFCPT's ability to collect SV profiles (when equipped with an optional SV probe). The green line indicates the path followed by the probe.

Things to note are the near-vertical free fall and the fact that the probe does not break the surface while underway. Please note that the elements of this animation are not to scale. Also, the winch cable is not shown for underway drops. For best results, print using "landscape" mode.
