SeaHorse™ Data #3

- Data Collected by SeaHorse

Hourly SeaHorse profiles collected in between April and June of 2002 by University of Connecticut

The following data was collected by Dan Codiga of the University of Connecticut Marine Science Department as part of a cruise carried out in 2002. For more information, see the BOT Press Release for March 04, 2003. Data was collected every 60 minutes for the duration of the deployment. In addition to the standard equipment, the SeaHorse unit was equipped with a Sea-Bird Dissolved Oxygen sensor. The following data chart is supplied courtesy of Dr. Codiga.

Dr. Dan Codiga is a physical oceanographer at the Marine Science Dept of the University of Connecticut. The main emphasis of his research is the dynamics of currents over the continental slope and shelf, and in large estuaries such as Long Island Sound.

SeaHorse™ was developed jointly with the Bedford Institute of Oceanography, Ocean Physics Division and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada. Visit their SeaHorse website by clicking here.
