The LRS is ship of opportunity adaptable, air transportable, and will be used to deploy and recover the AUVs, which are being manufactured by Bluefin Robotics, in up to sea state 6. The LRS fits within the footprint of a 10 ft ISO container for storage and transport and is scheduled for delivery in July 2001.
